A.C.T. Corporate Partnership Program

From enjoying a special evening viewing world-class theater at the iconic Geary Theater to experiencing the breathtaking views at The Rueff at The Strand Theater, A.C.T. offers our corporate partners and their clients a memorable experience. Our Corporate Partnership Program is customizable to fulfill the needs of our corporate partners’ philanthropic, networking, marketing, and sponsorship goals. Some of the benefits of being part of A.C.T.’s Corporate Partnership Program include:

  • Complimentary tickets, access to opening-night celebrations, and invitations to special events
  • A 25% discount to employees for A.C.T. play subscriptions
  • A 25% discount to employees for A.C.T. corporate workshops
  • The opportunity to host a company night for one of our productions
  • The opportunity to entertain at one of our numerous venues

A.C.T. Corporate Sponsorship Program

MAINSTAGE PRODUCTIONS ($25,000+)

Sponsor a single production or an entire season of productions to support the innovative, creative, bold, and exciting work that makes A.C.T. the leading nonprofit theater in the San Francisco Bay Area.

EDUCATION & COMMUNITY PROGRAM SPONSORSHIP ($5,000–$25,000)

Sponsor one of A.C.T.’s acclaimed Education & Community Programs, which serves more than 10,000 Bay Area youth and adults each season:

ACTsmart: A.C.T. provides free tickets, workshops, Words on Plays study guides, and Will on Wheels performances to more than 40 partner schools (including all SFUSD high schools) and community-based organizations.
Student Matinee (SMAT): Provides low-cost tickets to more than 5,000 students for mainstage and M.F.A. Program productions each year.

ACTsmart Workshops: Customized pre- and post-show workshops, led by master teaching artists and designed to deepen students’ theatergoing experiences.

Will on Wheels: Touring productions of Shakespearean classics performed by our M.F.A. Program actors at schools and community centers each spring.

Continuation High School Residencies: Year-long residencies providing ongoing instruction in theatrical writing, performance, and production to SFUSD schools serving socioeconomically disadvantaged youth who have not experienced success in conventional public schools.

Community Residencies: Ongoing residencies provided at no cost to diverse partners, including Bessie Carmichael School/Filipino Education Center, the Tenderloin Boys & Girls Club, Access SFUSD: The Arc (for developmentally disabled transition-age youth and adults), Aim High, and Canon Kip Senior Center.

Back to the Source: A week-long summer intensive for educators who use theatrical techniques in the classroom, as well as professional development during the school year. Scholarships are provided to Bay Area public school teachers.

NEW WORKS AT THE STRAND SPONSORSHIP ($25,000+)

New Strands Festival (January 21–24, 2016): A FREE festival for Bay Area art lovers, the New Strands Festival is a collision of new pieces, works-in-progress, and experiments by innovative artists across different disciplines. From laboratories, to readings, to conversations, to family-friendly presentations, to late-night events, artists and community members are invited to activate The Strand spaces over the course of four days, developing and sharing work that feels fresh and contemporary.

SPECIAL EVENTS SPONSORSHIP ($5,000–$25,000)

Slip on your dancing shoes, throw on a dress, or raise a glass as you sponsor an exclusive event to support A.C.T.’s arts education and conservatory actor-training programs. Some sponsorship opportunities include:

The Fall Benefit at The Strand: Benefiting the M.F.A. Program scholarships, A.C.T.’s fall fundraiser at The Strand includes cocktails, costumes, and cabaret, and is one of the most exciting events in the San Francisco Bay Area’s social calendar. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT TRAINING ($10,000)

Exclusively tailored for corporate professionals, A.C.T.’s Professional Development Training program has gained a large following among the technology and finance sectors. The Professional Development Training program includes voice, speech, and movement; theater games; storytelling; obstacle handling and improv; public speaking and audience engagement; and relaxation and preparation techniques to improve communication skills and executive presence. A.C.T. Corporate Entertaining

A.C.T. offers a variety of venues to fulfill the entertainment needs for your corporation. The graciously appointed lounges in The Geary Theater lend themselves to grand parties, while the more intimate areas are available for private use. The Strand Theater will provide a modern backdrop to your event, whether you are hosting a reception in the 283-seat Toni Rembe Theater or a multi-day conference in the flexible 120-seat Rueff event and performance space.
